It has been 3 days since we were informed that the club was trying to get  clickasite  to link  the .com url to vwt2oc.c.uk. it now appears the old .com bookmark is working again. I am also posting this same message in the Clubs forum.

This post is in response to a post upon the facebook group regarding the setting up, content and availability of the new web site.

I have given the matter some thought, and with the mixture of having had glimpses of what I  imagine is to be the new web site , and seeing the comments on the facebook page from a Committee member regarding why there appears to be a delay and some confusion , and  not being able access the site, I am now asking the club through this page as it appears to be viewed by committee members to contact clickasite and ask them to supply for us the members a statement, to be made available to the members on the delay/problems they have encountered, and a response by them to the comments made by a committee member as to the ” site being ready and the club being let down by clickasite”. 

This uncensored reply should then be placed on this page for the members to see. This should not take that long if done by e –mail. If not, as being a paid up members I may attempt the making contact and asking clickasite myself.        

With regards to the comments about membership fees. and hike in postal charges, and looking at the worst case scenario in regards to the web site, I would also like to see published the total cost to date, and expected final figure, and a breakdown of such, as to what it has cost the club in setting up and maintaining the 2 web sites ventured into since the AGM of 2007.
