Is anyone else in Yorkshire interested in meeting up?  We keep trying to get some interest, but the attempt by Tim to organise a bit of a meet in Roundhay Park, Leeds, last September fell flat!

How about a bit of a rundfahrt (sorry - circular journey, NOT getting artistic wind in a swimming pool!) in the Dales somewhere?  Skipton to Kirkby Lonsdale to see the new lambs, perhaps?

Hi Claire.  Did you manage to get any takers?  We have a 72 Westy, which is currently in the middle of a make over.  So won't be on the road for another month or two, but will be ready for VW northwest & Harewood house. We live up in Skipton and it would be nice to see a convoy of campers in the dales.  A trip to Kirkby Lonsdale later in the summer would be good. Might even upset a couple of bikers too ;-)

Seems to be loads of shows and meets during the summer, why not something in September ? 11th-13th is free in my diary... lets get organising !!

Hi Philip

Sorry I didn't reply earlier.  11-13th we are on the Club trip to Germany!

However, we might start going to meet up with the local Leeds Volkswagen Collective, who have a forum and a fairly well-established regular meet.  They meet up every two weeks.  I will try to remember how I found them again, and post their link on here.

Please feel free to join in with these forums.  We put them on here for a reason - to keep members in touch around the country and the world, even when there are no camps planned.  Conversation does not have to revolve around the Club, vans, VW or anything else necessarily linked to the rest of the site. 

However, we need to be sure that everyone knows the score. 

Please keep entries friendly.  We will remove or edit out unsavoury content, but we prefer that you avoid posting it in the first place.  Remember that people of all kinds read these pages, and the Club is supposed to be a fun place to be.  Anyone who persists in leaving foul messages will be struck off the users list, Club member or not. 

We hope you get involved with chatting here and find support with your repairs/restorations, friendship and entertainment.  Enjoy!
