Gear Change Problems
Neil

Hi,

Pfennig, my 1972 1700 Westi has deveoped a reluctance to change gear.  Have checked/greased linkages as far as possible, clutch OK, gearbox oil OK.

When the engine is running but the bus not moving, gears select fine but once on the move changing gear is a pig with a lot of resistance particularly downshifting.  Sometimes a clunk from rear end on changing gear.

If anyone could point me in the right direction I would be a happy camper once more,

Many thanks Neil

Thanks Pugwash & colourfulwords,

All mounts were found very worn and the clutch was falling apart.  Now sorted and runs like a dream.
